The ride originally started out as just that...a ride between two lifelong friends who shared a passion for riding. It rapidly morphed into something much larger and has taken on a life of it's own. Starting in Key West, Florida we are making several stops along the way to pick up riders, raise money and bring Veteran Suicide to the forefront of social issues in the United States. When the ride ends 20+ days later, we will have covered over 10,000 miles and ridden to the Artic Circle.
Though our ride starts in North Carolina and covers a minute portion of the 48 contiguous states, we would be remiss if we didn't include stops at some of the the locations along the way that forged who we are as Americans or have become synonymous with the Spirit of America. Cape Canaveral, Fort Sumter, Washington D.C., Gettysburg, Milwaukee are just a few of the stops we will be making.
We will be departing Key West on July 2, 2017 with a stop in Washington D.C. over the 3rd & 4th to celebrate our independence and to pay tribute to those of that have gone before us to secure the freedom that allows us to ride free.
Our hope is that while we are on the road, anyone who wants to follow along with us can log on and see where we are and what we are seeing. This will hopefully be accomplished by streaming footage of the ride during our time on the road and enabling a GPS signal to locate us at all times.
We are also hoping to be recognized by Guinness World Records as the longest charity motorcycle ride in the world. A request has been submitted we will post the outcome as soon as it is made available!
