Key West to Savannah - July 2, 2017
The start to the day begins at the southern most point of the continental United States. A mere 90 miles from Cuba, Key West is a popular tourist spot and home to NAS Key West. Noted for it's livelihood, diversity and history, this island community appeals to almost everyone. From the Key Lime Pie to cobblestone streets to the annual PrideFest, Key West will not disappoint.
This is the first leg of the trip. As mentioned on the ride description page, we will be making stops along the way. Our first group ride will be from Cape Canaveral to Daytona USA. We intend to bring to life the quest and exhilaration speed has been for many Americans. Speed has always been a fascination for many of us and both places are iconic in that arena. There's no better way to celebrate that spirit than to showcase these two landmarks.
The day ends in beautiful Savannah, Georgia. Savannah has a mix of architectural styles to include Colonial, Medieval and Victorian architecture and the weeping willows enhance the picturesque landscape. Lots to see and experience here.
